Susan M. Robson

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beautiful wife, mother, sister and friend Susan Robson, on January 9, 2025. She leaves behind adoring family and friends to mourn her loss and to cherish many shared memories. Born in Moncton, New Brunswick to Everett (Bill) Wilson and Melda Wilson (nee Fournier); Susan was the eldest of 5 children. Susan had grown up on various Canadian Forces bases across Canada and abroad during her father’s army career. It was in Alliston, Ontario that Susan completed high school and met her soulmate Terry. They married in 1975 and moved to Alberta for Terry’s work with Christies. They raised two wonderful children in Stony Plain before eventually calling Edmonton home. Those close to Susan knew her radiant smile. Her quiet presence was marked by her kindness, considerate nature, and deeply nurturing and empathetic strength of character. With her impeccable attention to detail and knack for organization, Susan spent her working career in office and administrative roles. For those who held a place in her heart, she always wanted to help no matter the task. Family was everything to Susan. She was extremely proud of her two children and their spouses, referring to them as her kids too. Susan found joy in simple pleasures - attending music events, reading, gardening, and cooking for family. Susan treasured the many road trips that she and Terry took across Canada and the United States, sharing lots of smiles over many miles. In early September 2024, Susan was diagnosed with the illness that took her so quickly from us. Susan battled with the same strength and grace that she is remembered for and she passed away peacefully with her loving husband Terry, and her children Holly (Ben) and Glenn (Katie), by her side. Also mourning Susan’s passing, her sister Joan (George Hawkins), brother Keith Wilson (Colleen), sister Linda Barrett, uncle Ed and aunt Carmel Messervey and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Susan was predeceased by her parents, brother Brian Wilson (Kim), and nephew Mark Wilson. In keeping with Susan’s wishes, no service will be held; cremation has taken place and the family will have a private memorial at a later date.
